The last couple of weeks have been quite hot and sunny. Much too hot for a northern boy like myself. In summer my favourite exercise is riding bicycle because going fast creates wind that cools me. I can't take a walk in summer because the heat and sweat make me miserable. I am glad to see some rain this morning because it's cool. After the rain is the problem because it becomes very humid.
On the other side of the world the situation is very different. My father called this morning from Newfoundland. Yesterday I sent him some photos of the rice fields near my house and said it's quite hot here. He told me that they had frost in the morning. When my mother got up, everything was covered in white. When I was young, I remember it snowed once in July.
Which is worse? Terribly hot summers? Or six and seven months of winter?
I prefer cold weather, thank you. At least I can put on more clothes to stay warm. If it's hot, there is very little you can do. And the police don't like it when you take off all your clothes. ^^
